The
aircraft above is the production model of the prototype Two-Seat Back Yard Flyer
demonstrated at Oshkosh '05. It made a huge impression with its incredible short field
performance. The production model is much different. While retaining the same flying
characteristics, it's a two-seat, fully enclosed, side-by-side aircraft. The fuel tanks
are in the wing. The Back Yard Flyer comes to the buyer complete, ready-to-fly or trailer
away. Price will be $25,000 - $30,000 depending on engine package and trim. This will
include prop, Valley Engineering PSRU, Valley Engineering Engine package, instruments and
ballistic recovery parachute.
We Repeat, This will
be a complete flying aircraft with NOTHING else required.
Check out the many neat
features of this aircraft below.

Removing the full-cantilever wings is a one-two-three operation. |

The substantial box spar slides in for a perfect fit. |

The enormous full-span flaperons give this machine its incredible slow speed and short
field take-off and landing performance. |

The cockpit is fully enclosed for cool weather flying. |

The wide stance and very sturdy gear will make rough fields smooth. |

The long fuselage moments, extra large vertical fin/rudder combination and wide-stance
landing gear will make ground handling this tail-dragger a snap. |

The extra roomy cockpit can take two LARGE passengers. This plane can really haul the
freight. |

How about this for a fun-flying instrument panel |
| The Back Yard Flyer
comes apart easy for trailering or storing. Just pulling three pins on each wing removes
the flaperons. Two pins in each spar removes the wing panels. The only thing you
have to actually unbolt is the flaperon control rod. Five minutes per wing... MAX!! |
